When was the last time you tried a truly enjoyable Moscato?
We’re guessing it has been a while because Ross, our winemaker, believes Moscato is one of the most underrated wine styles on the market today!
But he is on a mission to change that, starting with you.
The inside word from Ross is that if you have ever dismissed Moscato as a summer dessert wine or just for people with sweet palates, you are missing out on some of life’s greatest pleasures.
Over winter, treat yourself to the Grapes of Ross Moscato and pair it with:
- a hot curry or spicy Asian dish
- a sharp cheese or pate platter
- seafood especially oysters
Ross is convinced you’ll kick yourself for all the winters past that you went without this new delicacy.
Of course, it does excel in the sweet department. Try this:
Marinate some strawberries in Moscato and then drizzle the ‘juice’ and fruits over ice cream. Get ready to kick yourself again!
The secret to Moscato’s versatility is that it is one wine grape variety that can be picked and enjoyed straight off the vine.
Our Moscato
At Grapes Of Ross, Ross makes ours in the true Moscato style – made from the gorgeously aromatic Muscat grape variety, with our home grown white Muscat fruit known more commonly as Frontignac.
Our Moscato has a refreshingly clean and slightly spritzy finish with the sweetness obtained solely from the fruit characters at the stopping of ferment.
Here’s a recent picture of one happy ‘customer’…Daphne, an abandoned lamb brought to me at Easter. Even she ‘gets it’ and is happily drinking from our ‘the Grapes of Ross’ Moscato bottle. Please note while our Moscato could be considered ‘mother’s milk’ to some, we urge all underage drinkers like Daphne, to stick to milk, the real thing, and help support our dairy industry as well!
While our 2011 Moscato sold out ahead of time we are pleased to report our newly bottled 2012 vintage is looking good and doing well…just like Daphne!

I was introduced to your moscato whilst enjoying a family dinner at my son and his wife’s home just a few nights ago. As a lover of moscato in general , I have to say that I rate yours as one of the best I have ever tried. So much so that I am prompted to comment. Some other moscato I’ve tried in the past have been very ordinary and there has been variation in taste and quality. However yours was so delicious, it is now tied with another very well known label as my All time equal favourite. I will now happily seek your label at the bottle shop.
